Ok, so.. when i run counter strike source, i can see some server so on the list. I can go to click on the server to join it, KNOWING MY CONNECTION IS UP AND RUNNING AND MY FIREWALL IS ALLOWING STEAM TO SEARCH FOR SERVERS, I cannot connect to the server, getting the error message saying, "This server is not responding." Pleasee help me with this and I will be extremely happy, and also love you forever. (no homo)

sh*t happens to me every once in a while. I just retry once or twice and it lets me in.

This has been an issue since I can remember. I made a thread about this a couple of years ago.

When I had the issue, I found a work-around (sort of). Simply open up console and type the following command:

connect 69.10.56.10:27015

Obviously the IP will change for each server.

This worked for me. Try it out and let me know.

when you start steam, make sure it isn't refreshing the master server list... it really chokes your connection to hell and I've found no way to disable it.

yea, ill try these things thanks guy. its only been doing this since i came back to playing source. i mean a year ago or so it didnt do this. i think it might have something to do with update. -_-

Try a fresh install. I hate when people recommend it but it helps -- Just make a copy of your cstrike folder.

Since the engi update it does that to me with TF2, but only TF2, bit annoying.

it does that for me in css and tf2. and yes. very annoyning.
