So in a few weeks I'm going to college, and since I write like a 5 year old downie, I have to get a laptop for doing fast notes. I don't give a single fuck about games or entertainment. I need something small, reliable and of course, portable. While this probably isn't the best audience to ask, since you're all gamers, I would appreciate some suggestions.

Yeah nothing that will crucify me money wise, forgot to mention that. I have worked with apple at RISD for 3 years and I'm a fan for casual use, but it isn't in the budget.

no way apple is so cheap and amazing plus they are white so you know they are high tech because everything white is more scientific

Go with a netbook. Small, lightweight, functional and cost is a lot less than a traditional labtop.

i have an acer aspire dont buy the cheap ones!!! i hate this thing it over heats very fast and the battery dosnt last long
