Got up this morning expecting to read some reviews of the new Bulldozer Processors, and then head over to newegg and purchase one. Low and behold it was pretty much trashed on every review site. At least most of them were polite though :) The only thing that could be said is that in games it was about equal to the comparable Sandy Bridge chip. Other than that performance was pretty bad compared to Sandy Bridge, even with multi core apps.
This video pretty much sums it up:

as I said before on XS, I really feel its like Netburst, hopefully with future revisions it does get fixed and 8 cores actually perform like 8 cores, the Sandyvag 2600k isn't really much of an upgrade in SMT especially in applications that are properly coded. not going to buy anything this round, there isn't much of a point when my 4ghz x6 works fine for everything.
regardless of route taken, spending 450$ or so (board + cpu) for only 10-15% performance in *SOME* tasks isn't really justified.
