IDK what happened but around 2pm today I was kicked for "mic spamming" when I was not mic spamming, I think the person I was talking to at the moment was either greenski or sneakyjihad and then when I tried to get back on the server later I was informed I was banned. I have no idea who the admin was or why they kicked me for mic spamming when I was barely even using my mic on the server and no one was complaining about any conversation going on. I think I around 25-7 at the time so it is not like anyone could of or would of assumed I was hacking or griefing my team at all especially with weeks of play time on the server. 

 

I am pretty butt hurt about this considering I am friends with almost all current server regulars and a few of the admins as well. I change my name a lot but I am always top 100 here and never ruin anyone else's game experience. I do not mic spam I am not mean and I am pretty loyal to this server. YES MAD.

 

Console should prove that no one was complaining about anything happening and who the admin was that banned. I believe there was someone with Hatter tag there but it was one that I, even in my hundreds of hours on the server, have never seen playing before.

 

Edit: It also may be worth mentioning that I am in the BoSS clan/community.

 

 

Most people know me by my picture/voice but I think a decent amount of ppl know me as POWERBOTTOM or REFUSESTOHS

Personally I don't know who was on, do you have a list/names of some people who were in the server?

Uhhh, people were filtering in and out. Greenski at some point was on... sneaky jihad, SAM, KennyPowers, a guy named weakdeagle or something... I am sure my recollection is not really helping you. To be honest I was not paying a ton of attention to the names, there was only about 5 people on each team at any given time and this is not a time I usually play at, so I maybe only knew who half of them were.

 

I do know that I saw someone with the Hatter tag get in the server and I believe I was banned almost immediately afterwards. I am friends with shorty and I know who the other Hatters are but I do not know if they all have admin. I had never seen this specific Hatter before or have heard of his name EVER though. That is the only person that I think could of been admin (judging solely by the Hatter tag).

I was on and we played a good while. There was you and one other guy that was talking alot. A bunch of people left the server.One of you was spaming "faggot faggot faggot" in chat. It was only a few hour ban to both you and the other guy. I was mysteriously suicided after a guy named freak with no mic joined the server and slapped the hell out of a few people. then my computer tells me it needs permission to open a window to allow some chat to take place. of course i did not allow it and still dont know what it was about. neway you should be able to get in the server. And where is your introduction post if you are part of this community? that is a requirement if one is to join us

Yeah a guy did come in and had a bind for faggot, faggot, faggot, and after he typed that out like 50 times and after yelling on the mic when he got kills and died, he left the game. Then like 10 minutes later I was banned from the server, I wasn't really talking to that guy and I don't know who he is but my mic usage didnt go beyond "nice shot", answering someone, or things like that.

Regardless of BoSS' opinion on me not being a part of BoSS for not posting about myself, I don't feel like I deserved a ban, or even a kick especially without any admin saying anything to anybody. This makes me butthurt, I'm not too sure that IS a community I want to be in especially given my and my friends loyalty to the server.

I'm also not really sure about the relevance of this other guy annoying you, or anyone else in the server...

There is no relevance as it happened after the fact. Banning the wrong guy happens. It was a few hours, not permanent. I have been around here for 8 years and have a decent reputation as far as not being abusive or even a bad admin. Be here or don't its your choice. I was just simply saying if you are going to call claim to being part of the community then do it right.

I dont really care about your time here or your lack of admin abuse. I am not really sure why you got defensive and attacked me identifying myself for everyone who's seen me (because I do have the boss tag, at least). That was a pretty arbitrary piece of all this. I didn't post to "do it right".

Obviously all I was concerned with at this point was why I got banned, who it was by and for how long. "Banning the wrong guy happens". That was all that really had to be said.

You've answered all those things now, assuming youre the one that banned me... Protip: next time your computer confuses you and you see someone typing the words faggot, faggot, faggot, don't temp ban him and anyone that acknowledged his existence (especially with no warning) and then be indirect and upset at people that WAT about it on the forums, wanting to know what happened.

If you encounter any other admins doing anything like you described in your first post, just type status in console, write down the time and make a post. I assure you they won't be admins for very much longer.

Thank you, I will keep that in mind. I will try to be more aware of everything going on if I ever have a problem in the future. By the way, I had restarted CS:S before realizing it was more than a kick so the console information had been deleted, so I apologize for the lack of console pieces that could of helped this post.
