ON server 1, 2 and 3 in afternoon and night time i starts to lag really bad even for me and i live close to server i get like 30 ping in morning and in after noon when everyone is playing and stuff on server 1 and 2 both full my ping is 70 and then there is lag.

wat causes it: according to wat i have heard boss has their own box and with tat server box boss host 3 servers on it each containing 32 ppl on one really fast internet speed. in my opinion it maybe too much for the server to handel cuz if both server 1 and 2 are full tats 32x 2 =64 ppl playing and not all 64 can have good ping and packets sent to each one of them at the same time. it might also be cuz the server is not an amd operon its an intel lol ^_^ AMD RULES
or M-E tech is to blame for the lag Grrr

to fix: upgrade server a bit, or just host 1 server and lower number of ppl tat can go on server 2 have it a pratice server or something or a scrim u kno.

i only play cs in mornings cuz there is no lag or very very little bit of lag.
and i get to see anthrax play some times tat dude is on for hours.

I still love boss >.< servers are great and its hard to find another server tat restricts flashbangs and ops.

update on my lag post i figured out a way to use lag to my advange look at these screens
i got 50 kills and 8 deaths in 20 mins. all u got to do is sit around and wait for 6 or 10 ppl to die and ur all set no lag. and who ever changed pine's name to owned is funny lol. pine was there to see me ^_^ pine tree hehehehe i love u pine.

i also lowered my rank from 38 to 20 something WOOTY

yep u are. just have to use lag to ur advangage like i did ^_^ hehehehehe

hint: jump alot when ppl shoot at u on laggy server hehehehehe.


im not hacking im just lagging and so are ur hit boxes ^_^ lol

I shall look into it further but as far as I can tell, its Source that causes it, but I am unsure...

Try other servers, they lag a bit at start, but unfortunately nowhere near as bad as #2 does when you have a full server.. :( Not complaining.. I just try not to die before enough people die to make it run smooth again..

The only reason other servers dont lag as much is because they're never as full as the BoSS servers are. Other servers with as many people that go their lag all the same.

Well i play from across the pond, and it is exactly the same with servers in the uk as playing in Boss servers, ie 30-40 minutes of normal fps/pingthena sudden decline in quality.

I have to say thet my ping doesnt really change its more fps style lag, which i would put down to Cs:s being such a sl*g with memory and reses.

Other than that, if you are running 3 servers you have to treat them as a single server, ie how would your hardware handle a full 96 man server (shudder). I know alot of people play but it always seems that server 3 is empty so maybe a reduction to 24 man servers might work better, just an idea....

Seems like it got worse since that new update of the T's look and other things. It hasn't been as bad lately but it's not just Boss, it's most all of the servers.

What you were saying though does work and is a good idea... just I want to get into the action and not sit back, but you have to do what you have to do.
