Hi.

JBAdams here. I was recently banned by a BoSS admin going by the name of "Black." I was unable to get his Steam_ID before he banned me from the server. This same administrator banned a couple other players as well, and he also constantly slayed players who criticized his harsh behavior as an administrator.

I genuinely enjoy playing on the server, and I respectfully request that you reconsider my banishment from the server.

Your refusal to tell me who you were further suggests that even you realized that your actions in slaying, kicking, and banning me were inappropriate and excessive.

It should be noted that (a) I was not told to stop any of the offensive behaviors that "Black" claims he banned me for exercising, (b) had I been told to stop, I would have, © when I was kicked for "text-spamming," I immediately apologized and ceased spamming the server with responses to "{FAG} SUCKSDICK"'s personal attacks on friends of mine on the server.

I was thoroughly enjoying playing on the server, and I was surprised to find no less than three players from my hometown of Raleigh, NC.

I again respectfully request that you reconsider this ban in the light of the full context surrounding Black's decision.

I truly appreciate your point, and you do raise a very good point that I should not have cursed at you for any reason. I am very sorry for the personal offense that I caused you by cursing. Please rest assured that your similar insults toward me were not taken personally, but rather considered in the light of the passion of the moment.

With that said, it is important to remember that I cursed at you not because you banned me (how would that be possible? for me to curse at you after banned from the server), but because you would not tell me who you were. Until I sent a message of "What?" to the "@" command after I was slayed the first time, I did not even know who the administrator on the server was until you replied with "lol" and "bye JB."

I am very concerned that your decision to ban me was motivated more by personal reasons than substantive ones. For example, once you banned me from Server #2, I switched over to BoSS server #1, which is my second-favorite office server on the Internet.

It is important to note that at this time you were (1) misrepresenting to community members what had just transpired on the second server, and (2) you were encouraging them to ban me even though I had committed no offense on their server similar to the offenses that you cited when you banned me from Server #2.

Look, I obviously enjoy playing on these servers if I am willing to take up the question of whether the banishment was appropriate. Likewise, I highly respect the BoSS community and the level of entertainment that its forums and game servers provide. Indeed, I would only raise this topic if I felt that my case were sufficiently weighty to justify your consideration.

I truly enjoy the BoSS servers and forums. I have always held the community in high regard, and I regret that I am unable to demonstrate my commitment by frequently posting on the boards. Should that be required in order for me to demonstrate my sustained interest in what you all do here, then I would consider it an opportunity�not a burden�to be asked and invited to become a more active participant on these forums and, indeed, on the game servers themselves.

I had climbed to as high as the top 100 on the second server in recent weeks, and on your secondary server I registered approximately 60% of my kills by head shots. That is perhaps unimpressive to skilled players such as you and other BoSS members, but I consider this an achievement since I have severe carpal tunnel syndrome and have limited use of my right hand.

This game gives me an outlet, but it also gives me encouragement. I can look to find that outlet and encouragement in other communities and on other servers, but I truly doubt I'll encounter as cohesive and dynamic a group as you have assembled here at BoSS.

I don't see what screaming at everyone, cursing them, and (from review of other posts made by your fellow members in the past 24 hours), banning other members ad-hominem, helps you.

Nevertheless, everything that I have said here is true. You can reject my claim that it's true by hurling insults at me, but I'm not sure why you would be insulting and harassing me in this way if your actions were justified in the first place.

When you joined server # 1, you did in fact boast of banning me from server # 2, and you did in fact suggest that the same action either would or should be taken on server # 1.

I hope that in the future you can discuss and evaluate this matter in a more civilized tone. I would apologize personally for whatever offense I caused you, but that seems difficult insofar as you refuse to even disclose your name.

I am sorry to raise a negative point of information concerning my banishment, but I cannot help to do so after just noticing racist, homophobic comments posted by "imho" in response to another member who complained of being banned. (This member, it seems, deserved to be banned insofar as he had no respect for the BoSS community in the first place.)

Of this member, Black said the following:

"Do not contradict yourself you sound like a f*cking little tw*t. Good-bye and have a nice life you gay jewish f*ck."

I am not aware whether imho/Black/BoSS|___ retained a transcript of my comments in tonight's game, but if he produces one, you will find that I made no remarks that could be considered as offensive and deliberately hateful as those that he posted on these very boards, this very night.

We should all strive to represent the BoSS community as well as possible. I strive to do that by providing a lackadaisical, fraternistic game atmosphere in which I chat with other players instead of hurling xenophobic and sexist comments at them. Still others do that by fragging the daylights out of people (as evidenced by SoB 40 oz.'s ridiculous accuracy with primary weapons).

Even if Dark Shadow does not decide to lift my ban, I would at least like to know on what grounds BoSS could permit members such as Black to make such overt racist comments in public, while banishing players who came nowhere near making such terrible comments. By what right can this community uphold a ban without a demo, without a shred of evidence, without a single text line?

This nonsense is over. JB, I know you're new to the BoSS community. We have admins that don't always wear the BoSS tags, this way we can catch hackers off guard. I dont give a f*ck what went on today between you two but the sh*t's going to stop.

If you run across an admin do what he says. Our admins enforce the server rules and we do not take bullsh*t, even if it is a fellow BoSS member. Just play the game and have fun.
