ive been at college for a week and a half now and im running on its 54mb a sec network. its great but i have no idea how to get into a lan game. i see advertisements but when i click on lan servers none ever come up. do i need to change my ethernet cord to another spot or something?
how do i get lan going?

Hmmm..... do you have an internet security thing? that usually blocks lan games try turning that off and checking.. if it works just join the game and alt tab and turn it on again (just in case 
) if that doesnt work... maybe you need to unblock the ports for them.. but i dont know how you would find out what ports the servers have...

of course rabbit. thats why i dont know why no servers appear. i dont know how to mess with the ports. and my firewall doesnt say its blocking anything.

hmm i would say the school has two IPS, if its large enough try finding the ip to the other computer you're trying to connect to. Plus they have ports blocked in some schools.
