I would not suggest an apple. There expensive, not very powerful, and basically they make you buy all your parts through them. There are websites where you can build a custom computer and pick all your parts and theyll put it together for you. You can get a hp or somethin like that for pretty cheap with a decent amd processor in it, however youll need to upgrade the video card and memory. You could get an alienware as well, just cause they look badass :dork:

Here is a decent deal on a pretty good system. It's only $650 or something. Then go spend $350 on a badass PCI-E graphics card. Next, get a 20" apple cinema display (lcd) for $800.

$1800 + tax

While you're at it, buy a top of the line computer because you know how fast they outdate. so def. get 3Ghz+ preferably AMD cuz they are more worth their price. Also ATI cards are worth their price more than NVidia in general. For 1000$ you should be able to get a BADASS custom computer. Instead of paying 650$ now and 650$ next month and 650$ the month after that :20:

custom a computer save a lot of money. i bought the best of every part that runs with a pentium 4, and 9800pro for 1980. buying parts separate saves a lot of money and will last you a good 4 years. i doubt ill have to update for a while. seems like a lot of games are going to run on the doom 3 enging ore unreal 3 engine.

This will probably make me seem like a noob but I dont know how to install a graphics card. My stupidity promises me flaming to come my way :dork:. Never the less it seems getting someone else to build me custom comp is the best choice so far. thanks for the comments.

Dude its so simple. All you do is uninstall your drivers from your previous video card then shut off your computer. Next take out the old video card and put the new one in. Then install the new drivers. Its that easy. You could probably find detailed instructions online somewhere. The only way you learn is by trying.

the instructions come with the card too. Only thing you have to be careful with is make sure you ground yourself before touching stuff.

E-Machines seem to be up to date, but really it's up to the consumer to check that out. they won't say "outdated" anywhere... You gotta do your homework on what's worth investing in. And right now, I have no clue cuz I'm not gonna upgrade in at least two years (famous last words).

Dude if your looking for a computer that is going to do what u need it to your better of building your own. It's not to difficult. I thought the same thing when i built my first one and since than i have probably built at least 3 or 4 more for friends and myself. Check out these sites for good prices and parts:
