Whenever I try to install iTunes or a new video driver it says

Setup failed to launch installation engine:
The RPC server is unavailable...

wtf.

I don't know if this has anything to do with your problem but figured it was worth a shot. I'd try and help you out more but I'm at work.

Yea, it is something with install sheild, but that site helps me not at all. Any one else cause I can't install iTunes or the video driver I need for CS or any thing for that matter.

ok i had a similar problem back when doom 3 first came out. I couldn't install sh*t, not even normal everday programs. Basically installshield is f*cked. You can keep searching the installshield website for days and days to find the drivers you need to replace or you could just reformat and reinstall windows. Literally, it took me days and days to find the right drivers to fix my problem. The installshield website just gives you the runaround and you end up having to download the drivers from some other site. So to save yourself the time and aggrivation you might just want to reformat and reinstall windows. I know backing up all of you stuff sucks but it doesn't suck as bad as searching for some stupid f*cking drivers that seem to not exist. Anyways installshield sucks.

installshield is f*cked? wow you kids are f*ckin slick, the message he posted explains exactly what is wrong with it...

Go to Start -> Run -> Services.msc

Search for Remote Proc... Right click, Set it to automatic, hit start, then that shud reinitialise it, oh by the way I am nearly 90% certain your another Service Pack 2 Idiot... have fun with random f*ckups.

I just tried that and it said it still wont start. My computer is f*cked, you know that shadow...
