I know I havent posted in awhile, damn rain knocked out my internet for a week.
But anyway my question is I finally have a decent budget...and im looking to upgrade my GPU finally, and Im usually not biased towards Nvidia or ATI, but I havent had as many problems with ATI as ive had with Nvidia...I dont know if I should go for the 7800gt.....or wait for the new x1800 or the x1600 series that from what ive read are about on par with the 7800, and I honestly dont know what the price for the x1800's are going to be, im hoping not about 600+.....I need to finally retire this tired x700pro....maybe put it in my g/fs computer when I finish building it, so me and her can LAN some games..hehe got her playing AOE3...anyway, any feedback from you guys whould be appreciated.

well...I think I found a new site to love, that newegg.com, I honestly didnt know they made an ati radeon x850xt in the pci-e format...so I think im going to go for that, only 329.00, and the reviews on it are pretty damn good, so I think I found a new baby.hehe.thanks guys for the feedback though.

I have the x850xt pe card. It's pretty f*ckin sweet man. Mine's an AGP version though.
I run an athlon 64 3400. In CS:S, I have all the settings maxxed, resolution at 1280 x 960, and get between 50 - 150 fps (usually about 75). I'm very happy with it.
