i thought FEAR was the first game i couldnt run with everything on max. but i turned down my resolution from 1600 to 1024. and turned off antialising to tri insteadof 16x and i get 30-60 fps. its great. doesnt look any wrose. just some edges. but with all the textures and lighting its so much better. i beat single player with everything on max and it was choppy but i just wanted to see the game. i always do that. anyways thank you monster for your comment on lost coast about res, cause i tried it with fear and it made a huge difference. now it looks better and runs better.

Yeah, if your card can handle it, crank the sh*t out of the AA and AF. Then even on lower resolutions, it still looks half decent.
For cards like mine, I noticed that AA & AF don't need a lot of resources, yet make the most difference. On my 9800 pro, I could barely turn on AF & AA before it started to choke...
