My parents said they would buy me a new video card for christmas. There are a couple issues. I have a condensed computer without a lot of space so it cant have a big fan on it. Also it needs to be under $150. Let me know of what you guys suggest. :1:

I suggest taking the $150 instead and saving the rest to buy a good card.

9800xt what i have is under that. no game out i cant run on high. so hdr works, doom3 on ultra, fear on max, bf2 on high. name it. x800 which is even better is around ther, but you could get the x850xt pe for around 300. or save up to 450 for the x1800xt which will last you another 2 years or so.

I would suggest on saving that money as well and buying a better card. I'm not exactly sure which is better. Either the 6800gt or the 9800xt. These cards are about the same price. Ati's 9800xt might be cheaper but i like my 6800gt. I have no problems playing any of the new games out. Look on newegg.com and compare prices between cards. Let us know what you decide! :dork:

A video card is only as good as the computer that its in. I should know well, I have a better video card than you with a poor cpu and mobo and get much less performance than you.
