Meh....I didn't find it all that good....Sure the graphics were amazing (if you had a dx9 hardware card.) But I found a lot of the game too closed in...Im more of a Doom2 or Tribes2 guy with big open maps and lots of bad guys...Also it was very dark even with full brightness (mind you Doom3 was worse.) The AI was great though for once a game where the AI was actually smart...And I really liked the fact that you could pick up almost anything in the entire game...The major bug I found was the fact that (if any of you have gone warthog jumping in halo you will know what I mean) if you jumped a vehicle over a fence where there was no level, you literally get stuck in mid air and can't get out unless you turn on clipping. Even then it's not just a matter of clipping your way out you either have to summon a new vehicle or push the one that's stuck by going in and out of clipping beside it to nudge it back into the level. (I'd make a demo but demos don't seem to like recording on Cedega they tend to lock the computer.) I found the weapons a lot more realistic than Half Life 1 it's not just a matter of running up to something hitting it in the head and running away anymore. Because if you do the AI actually jumps back!
Overall I'd give it a 6/10 mainly for the great graphics job gameplay could have been a lot better for me personally.

Half Life 2 is pretty good.. good mechanics, weak enemy AI, boring story, decent guns. I actually only got half way through before i got bored and bought San Andreas. Probably won't play HL2 again.
