the tickrate for the server is basically how fast it updates itself 33 tick is really pathetically slow shoot an AK full auto in 33 then try a 66 tick and the speed of it is much faster

Is that what boss is? 33? My friend runs a 100 tick server. Not sure of how much it makes a difference, but something to look into.... Gotta remember that our servers are rented as well.

I've tested with tickrates a while ago, granted, the fact that 66 / 100 is better, it usually generates quite a bit more CPU usage and on pubs that are full quite a lot it usually causes a lot of random glitches and whatnot, usually for scrim servers and such..

Ive put Server 2 on 100 Tickrate lemme get some feedback from you b*tches!

The p90 sprays bullets out of it like a sonnuva b*tch. I like it. The faster the better as far as im concerned. Didn't notice too much of a difference with the pump shotgun unfortunately. I also noticed that it seemed like hitting the target was "fairer." Sometimes you shoot at someone and do not lead them enough, causing you to shoot behind them, but this sometimes registers as a hit. My computer gets insane framerate, and playing with the lower tickrate taught me to take the hitbox lag into consideration. The hitbox seemed to lag a lot less with the higher tickrate. With the following settings i found out the the higher tickrate was a lot better. (BoSS servers are really the ONLY servers i ever play on BTW so i am not used to the higher tickrate)

cl_cmdrate 101
cl_updaterate 101
cl_interp 0.01
rate 30000

I think i might use 66 instead of 100 but I dont know yet...

I saw some packet loss there too, dunno?

packet loss is usually caused by ur ISP it's rarely bad rates or the game causing it.

EDIT: I just tried it out and it plays way better you might want to leave it at 100 tick because there are usually so many people playing on the servers

man, I noticed a huge different when playing on server 2, with the higher tick rate the p90 and deagle seem to be even more useful then before, but took some time getting used to it with the lack of lagging hit boxes, cool stuff, I hope shadow keeps the server at 66-100...whatever he deems worthy.
