every couple days i play, ill have been playing for like 10 mins or so already, and my screen will randomly freeze and the sound will also freeze as if it were skipping or whatever. at this point i cant do anything. I cant alt-tab out of the screen, or anything. at first i thought it was a video card driver prob. but i have the most recent driver and i dont have this prob. with any of my other games. it drives me crazy! its like the only thing that pisses me off abt my PC at the moment. anyone else ever experience this?

Yup.......I have this problem every so often, not every 10 minutes. I am not a computer guru.....at all. It happens to me when a whole bunch of action goes down all at once....sounds, bodies flying, and shooting. Seems like my power supply will not push the vid card, or cause my fan barely works, the vid card overheats. Again, I know just enough to change a vid card, so I am most likely incorrect. I'm just waiting for a big puff of smoke and that oh so sweet smell of electrical parts burning.......it has hapened to me before.

You could try taking the side panel off your case and see if it still happens.. if it does, that might rule out any heat related issues..

That helps sometimes, man.
Also, check your running progs. Sometimes they interfear with your sh*t.
Try turning something off.
