ok since Monster brought up the topic of his situation (which in my pinion is skill not luck) i thought i would bring up the question of what is ya'lls GPA in your respected fields?

Im a double major Pr Med Bio Chemist. right now im sitting on a 3.6 slowly leaning on a 3.7

how about you guys?

ok ima be honest so im a Criminal Justice major with a 2.5 GPA. yeah its not good but damn its better than it was. I could have been kicked out of college my freshman year. When i first came to college i cam to drink not learn. I could have seriously been in some meetings for as much as i drank. I didn't go to class and when i went i was drunk most of the time. I had so much fun but looking back i can't believe i did that. After my freshman year i got a letter saying i was on acedemic probation so i have spent the last two years trying to get it back up.

I don't really care though i had fun and it should be around a 3.4 when i graduate if i keep on track.


for you yuoung guys i would say do good your first year to get a good base then see where you are and maybe go nuts after that.

3.58 here... I'm Environmental Studies. Been getting pretty much all A's last couple of semesters, but my first year really pulls me down.

Double-majoring in Business (f*ck that!) and music. Taking sh*tloads of other classes on the side...
So far, my gPa is 3.6

Im a Junior Sports Administration Major and Business Minor at Ohio University

My GPA right now is about 2.9, but i got C's in these stupid art classes freshman year because i was an Architecture Major....Those classes are based on who caters to the teacher the best....total bullsh*t.

I should be closer to a 3.2 or 3.3

I graduated with a 2.9 but didn't do sh*t in school except drink heavily and chase women. My major GPA was 3.4 though. I hardly went to class and averaged (I actually calculated this) 8.5 drinks a day. Some nights 3 or 4 beers and others 20+ . And now I'm a grown up .

EDIT: Grades in college don't really matter too much to employers seeking to fill entry-level type jobs. What you know, your experience and personality make much more of a differnence. In the next few years I'll prolly start going for my masters at RIT or UR, then I'll actually start caring about grades. (UR graduate program in Finance is a much better than the one that that sh*tty Harvard School of Business offers) hehe.

wow it seems like the stigma is true. Most people do horrible their freshman year cause of the booze and vaginas running around half covered lol. Its good to see some honest feedback, come on fellas i know there are more of you out there in college! Chime in!

As a freshman I'm pulling a 2.735, room for improvement. I don't go to class or anything. I'm PreMed and Psychology with a minor in history. We'll see how I make out.

I graduated last May with a 3.0 or so in Georgraphy/GIS. Lets just say that I hate my job right now...

i graduated college with a 3.7... thanks to dicking around freshman year.. (2.8 freshman year vs 3.8-4.0 other years)

i've got a 4.0 so far in grad school.... (where grades dont really matter aside from getting 3.0+ to keep my research position)

oh, and its computer science/mathematics

Derek if you are going med school i think you only need a 3.2 with a decent score on the MCAT (usually around 24 to 28). Thats what i have read at least from a national statistic
