Hey everyone, my dad is planning on getting a new tv for the living room and at the store there is a Sony and Mitsubishi, both flatscreen. In your opinion, which brand is better? Thanks.

i've actually had one of each.. and in my opinion the sony is like 5x better :) the mitsubishi tends to go out of line with the color adjustments and you have to keep calibrating it so sony is definitely the way to go in my opinion

You can't really compare things like that imo. You have to compare the exact models, not brands. Goto cnet.com and check on their reviews. They do a pretty professional job of reviewing electronics crap. Panasonic makes some really nice TVs as well.

I have a Sony 57" don't know the model number but looks good. not with basic cable though.

They look kick ass, but my apt. is not that big so all the seating arrangements are wayyy to close.

Ok kool. Well tomorrow we will have our 50 inch Sony in our living room. YAY!!!
