OK the other night my mom told me to check my e-mail because she usually sends some funny stuff from her work to me. Well i get on Firefox and go to hotmail.com. I tried both my e-mail addresses and had the same "Firefox cannot establish connection" Well everyother site works fine. So I think" hey no sweat, Ill try it tomorrow" Well today it did the same thing. and my msn messenger WILL NOT log in. I know my passwords are right. And it does the same thing on any other site that is an email provider(ex. Gmail, go.com, yahoo.mail) Does anyone have an idea? Thanks

While it may be obvious, I would just clear out all the temp files on firefox and see if that helps any. Whenever I have a loading problem it clears up after I do that.

Hope that helps

I always knew Billy was color-blind... his mom musta had too much moonshine

LOL that works great. anyways I now have another annoying problem. These little popups show up right by my clock at the bottom right that say Your comp is infected! blah blah and when I click on it it comes to a site to download spyware remover. O and another little thing comes up warning about a virus. How do I remove them? They pop up even when im off the internet.

Honestly sounds like you look at lots of porn sites..With those problems i would reformat then stay away from porn sites..Use spybot,adware6, and try something elese for virus protection cause what you have dont work.

I really like Adaware6 and Zone Alarm, with the two of them I haven't had any major problems.

I'm also running F-prot which is a corporate virus scanner/firewall. That works well too.

Assuming you are runing XP (genuine) get windows defender from microsoft. here

It really is the best at real keeping the bad stuff out in real time. For scanning use adaware and try a good online virus scanner like trend-micro. Here

Good luck
