do you guys ever get pictures printed from a digital camera, either by bringing it to a store or doing it online? if so, where do you do it, and what are the prices for prints?

thanks

store machine is really painful to work with. really not that much user friendly. do it at home, upload it then go pick it up. especialy 150 pics might be more painful. no shipping unless you want them deilver it to you (im not sure if they do it anyway). no other charges though i've done it 2 months ago. unless they didnt change any policy no other charges. you just go there pay for it and pick it up.

I have used the machine before and had a descent experience. They were .17 and .22 cents a pop I think and came out pretty descent. The Kodak machine I used was fairely user friendly and quick. You just touch the ones you want to print and they pop out. Descent quality too. I am sure some of the older machines are crap, but the newer ones seem to work pretty good.

EDIT: I only did a half dozen pics though....

yeah. mine was old one i guess. i had to select every picture by hand on the screen. it gets annoying if you have tons of pictures to print.

man i did that just watch it cause with a digital camera you can take hundreds of pics, and .14 cents a pic doesn't seem like much but after you have 200 pics. yeah lets just say i wasn't expecting to pay $30 lol

but its still a good deal

yeah, 1 hour ones are relatively expensive than others. plus i just saw on the walmart site, some sizes are cheaper if you do it from home.

i bought a canon mp500 and got a pack of cannon glossy photo paper to go along with it. it is an awsome printer/scanner and prints photoquality for around 13 cents a pic. it was $200, but well worth it for the convienence of printing pics fast and in the comfort of my home.

I usually go wolf camera.. but i just recently got a Cannon Pixma iP6600D... its awesome because of 2 things (there are others, but these are the coolest imo):
1. The ink lasts 100+ years... which totally kicks ass because all of the photos don't last that long.. so this prints photos that last longer than anything you can print with a regular printer.. and anything you can print at wal-mart...
2. The f*cking print resolution is 9600x2400 dpi... omfg... does wal-mart even have printers with that knid of resolution?? they might but i don't think so...

i dont think they use printers in walmart (im not sure though). professional systems use digital projection on normal photo paper. so it is almost analog.
