So I just unlocked the extra pipelines and vertex shaders in my geforce 6800 using rivatuner. My fps has shot up but so have my temps. It went from about 65 degrees celsius under load to 92! The threshold says 127 degrees but I think even 65 is too hot. I just ordered a zalman cooler for it to try to reduce the heat as well as that annoying whine. What temps are you guys getting while gaming?

I just got an X800 - Passively cooled. It's totally silent and uses 2 heatsinks and heatpipes to dissipate heat.

It's running at about 45 C idle and 95 C under load....

So I just installed a new Zalman VGA heasink and now my temps havent gone about 58. Unbelievable. I have this thing on silent mode too. I think it may be time for some overclocking.
