Alright, so I bought a new rig a few weeks ago.... and I kept my 80 GB IDE drive in it.....

That was queer... so I picked up a pair of Seagate 7200.10 320 GB SATA II's. I slapped them in a raid 0 array... man it's nice. 600 GB of storage and it's fast too.

Not quite as much HD space as some of you (DS), but it's about 3 or 4 times more than my last system.

EDIT:

I had issues installing them.... and this just absolutely f*cking pisses me off.

To install windows with 3rd party raid drivers (both of my mobo's needed this), you need to have the drivers on a FLOPPY DISK. Not a usb drive... not another HD.... not even an external card reader.... a f*cking ancient FLOPPY DRIVE. My small form factor case doesn't have one... because it takes up valuable space (used for 3rd HD) and they are f*cking useless. Who the hell uses a 1.44 disk anyways? 128 mb usb drives are considered a joke nowadays. So I had to take the floppy drive out of my old computer, and put it in this one for the windows installation..... errrr.

Yeah I know about the sata drivers. I hope they change that sh*t with vista. I had to install xp on my ide drive because I forgot to put the driver on a floppy. I think it just depends on the drives and the copy of xp you are using too. Because I re-installed windows on this guys computer and it recognized the sata drive. Oh well.

But nice setup man. I just have 120gb. 600 sounds nice.
