Ok so I built my new computer right after Christmas and I just got around to working on some wire management for it. Before It was so f*cking cluttered my video card would overheat and freeze up even when I had a fan blowing right towards it. An example of how sh*tty the wire management was is below.

Now after 1 hour of work.

My advice is: you may be really excited when you are building a new computer, but spending that extra 30 min to an hour on wire management while you are building is well worth it.

Here are pics of my whole setup, because I don't think I ever posted them.

Amd Athlon 64 3700
1gb ram
1 80 gb ide hard drive
1 80 gb sata hard drive with another 80 gb sata drive on the way
Bfg geforce geforce 6800gt
1 sony dvd burner
1 LG dvd drive
19" Zerox widescreen lcd

haha cute cats. and that a tall tower. nice job tho. i redid mine and cleaned it up. brought temp down maybe 3 degrees  i did that last year. tho mine doesnt look as neat. i used tape tho haha. i also did the same and hid the wires on top of the hardrive where you cant see them. really cleans stuff up for those who have a window or cluttered v card.

Mines horrible. But there's really nothing I can do. My tower is a little small for all the wires. And unless I want to cut down some wire and splice them back together, I can't do anything.

Though, I will be getting a larger tower for my next computer.

That looks a hellofa lot better man. Really nice. I cleaned mine up a bit but it'll be better once I get a full tower instead of a mid. With 5 internal harddrives, there's really no place to hide any wires especially when the 3.5" slots are facing towards the motherboard and the PCI-E card which bulges out basically into one of my 3.5" slots.. Nice lookin stuff

BTW, I just noticed your ram could be in dual channel if you wanted it to be.

Mine looks very similar to yours. I taped all the excess power cables to the back of the case to try to help. I think I just need one of those psu's with modular cables.

Yeah I know, but I already had 1 gig of memory before I purchased that motherboard. I'm saving the memory upgrades for the next bunch of upgrades I do. Probably in a couple of months when I find a better job.
