I'm getting a little fed up with all the crap that's going into Winamp now, and I absolutely abhor iTunes (something about the insane memory hogness of it..) and was wondering if you guys use anything interesting. Looking for a good media library with fast searching (everything of mine is ID3ed and about 90% is foldered by artist and disc) and it needs good sound quality (I'm not audiophile, but I can't stand crappy players liike WMP that default to OMG BASS IS THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD)
Looking for a new media player

Yeah VLC is all you will ever need :)
Very efficient, hogs no memory at all pretty much.

I've never had a problem with winamp. If you don't like the newer versions, Click here to download any version of winamp you like.

VLC if your concerned with memory usage.
But I've used Sonic Stage since I got my Sony Netwalk and haven't used anything else for my music. It organizes your music really well, and makes it really quick to find what you need.
But that's just my opinion.

I haven't found anythign I really <3 as much as winamp. I use VLC for video ('cause it works with just about everything that media player classic doesn't), but I'm not too fond of it for music. Maybe I'll just have to hack away at all the things I dislike in winamp until they're gone. That's why god made us shovels. For fixin things
