This has been happening for a while for me. In CS:S whenever I play office my computer will freeze and I need to restart it (to my knowledge all the other maps work). This happens whenever I play any DOD map too. I tried reinstalling the games and it didn't work. This is really pissing me off so if anyone can help me I will love them forever!

My friend had a problem with office before. Only on office, his comp would freeze at "retrieving server information" and he'd have to restart. He dosent play DoD though. He tried reinstalling, and downloading from steam rather than the disks, with no luck. I searched all over the place for a fix and couldnt figure it out. My friend has since sopped playing, so we never really found any solution to it.

The wierd thing is, that i can play for maybe 5 minutes before it freezes. Somtimes I can play longer and somtimes its almost instant.

uhm ur cpu doesnt have drivers... anyways, your sound drivers shouldnt make a game crash but just rather make you have no sound if theyre not functional. my biggest guess would be outdated video drivers. just go to the manufacturer's website of ur graphics card and dl the latest drivers. they come out with driver updates quite often

this would be odd if you didnt have it but also make sure you have dx9
