So everytime I restart my computer, Kaspersky tries to update, and after about a minute of the taskbar icon showing the update animation, I get this:



After which Kaspersky says it's been "disconnected"

I think I remember Shadow saying something about Kaspersky before he left. Try downloading the new version or update from the site itself and see if that fixes it.
