How do you know that your router is causing problems?

Maybe you should just reset your router to it's factory settings and start from scratch?

EDIT: dlink routers have always been good to me, linksys has been a pain... just me though.

Haha exact opposite for me. D-Link has only caused trouble and Linksys has always been smooth... Oh well.

probably a user error? lol just kidding.

hey cold, how many ports do you need on your router?

You can do software routing by adding network cards to your machine. It carries some overhead and all that, but if you are only sharing with one other machine, it's a damn dirty cheap way to route traffic.

There is a reset button somewhere that you will probably need to push with a pin or toothpick.

Maybe the thing is pooched, but it's probably just not setup properly.
