If you are one of the cool kids and use IsoHunt, you should see their cd-key trade lists.

So today I bought Doom 3, Battlefield 1942, and Windows XP Professional from this guy for a grand total of $11. That's right:

BF1942
Doom 3
Windows XP Pro

Total retail cost: $318 + tax

For eleven-holy-sh*t-costs-less-than-a-meal-at-McDonalds-dollars I got an OS and two games. And this guy's legit, he has a 17-page trade topic and 156 rep. So, not just him, but IsoHunt is general is great for getting games and software with legitamite CD/activation keys for really cheap.

Guy who sells WindowsXP Pro for $4's topic
IsoHunt CD-Key trading forum

Make sure you have PayPal.

Bullsh*t. Ever heard of a thing called the Dollar Menu? It's a teenage and college guy's life saver, even though it will ironically kills them in the end.

Me thinks you are an idiot. Although that software is "valid" as far as the software is concerned, it is still not liscensed and is, therefore, ILLEGAL. If you are going to do that, you might as well save your $11 and download it off a peer-to-peer network.

Err...I was using the Windows XP thing as an example but, ok.

If it is a valid retail key (Which it is) then it is licensed. Whatever, I didn't feel like going through the process of of cracking, etc...and I had $4. Still, the Doom 3/1942 was a good deal.

But I did this exact same thing with BF2, why is it not legal?

EDIT: BTW Mr. Sticks good luck with that. The dollar menu has "Value-sized" fries which is code for medium. Large is a better filler.

And even if it's not technically legal, I don't really give a f*ck about legality but as I said I require legit (As in keys that when you enter them in the f*cking software install form, they work and let you play online) keys and this is the way to get them cheap.

That guy does have a good thing going though... convinces kids that they are buying legit keys... but sells them to 1000 people.... then they come back asking for more... lol

If you want legit stuff, buy it. If you can't afford it (like most of us lol) then steal it....

The thing with a key is touchy...

Normally you cannot sell a license lower than the manufacturer's lowest price.
I think it is illegal.

Logically speaking, just call up any software company and ask if they would sue a person for selling licenses and/or the software itself at rock bottom (4 dollars) prices. Naturally they probably would.

But for a person with little cash (me), I honestly don't care if it is illegal.
The software I have on my computer that could easily get me sued if pirated (most m$ products) is all legit.
Only games and one or two utilities are the 4 dollar key + iso deals...

But really, use your judgment, even though Chris has none. I wouldn't f*ck with illegitimate XP keys. Buy that sh*t OEM.

EDIT: Oh yeah and what monster said about sellin one key to 1000 people...lolz.

Windows XP ain't illegal software but whatever, if you think buying apps and utilities through there is immoral/illegal, whatever.

It's still best to get games on there, the guys don't sell the keys to others, I've had my BF2 key since August and it hasn't been blacklisted yet.

$30 for BF2? I don't think so.

Microsoft does not blacklist keys, and purchasing keys online seems gay in the companies eyes, but who wants to pay 120+ for a CD, because thats all it is, regardless of if it is *legal* to the company, this forum is not meant to discuss the legality of things, or else I think everyone would be convicted of a crime one way or another, So lay the fuck off of people, Seriously

sellers do not sell the same key to 1000 people, those people get banned from isohunt from being scammers, people trade their shit with one another for something better

say for example you bought a game, ie, BF2142 and hate it, trade it for something else.

I wouldn't pay for illegal software. Just get it for free. Some, like my copy I could have given to you, dont even need a key to install.

you can't even run windows update so shut up, the product chris bought on the other hand, is indeed Legit.

You can run windows update. It will just annoy the sh*t out of you. Plus you can pretty much get a crack for anything in windows or crack it yourself. IMO I would rather spend the 10 minutes getting the cracks for windows than paying a sh*tload of money for it.

Yeah, I can get updates just fine. It dosent pass WGA, but I never get anything from the windows update site anyway. And if I need to, there are ways to get it without going through there.
