You know in movies how a road is blocked by a downed tree, why doesn't anyone just drag the fucking thing to the side, HOW HARD CAN IT BE TO TIE A ROPE AROUND THE END, AND FUCKING MOVE IT TO THE SIDE!!?!

....well that's how Hollywood movies work you know. People do stupid things all the time, things that no one would ever do in any given situation. It can ruin an otherwise good movie...

Yeah there's alot of that kinda sh*t like when the villain of a movie has the 'hero' and sits there and talks with him or locks him up instead of blowing his f*cking brains out on the spot.

i guess it all depends on the size of the tree and the car. it is actually quite hard either way, let alone with a low torque FWD car. gotta love attaching it to some weak point on your frame instead of a tow hitch. So imho in most situations where you see that i would say it can vary in difficulty.

Dude, even if the tree is 500 Pounds or so, it can be moved, the weight gets negated by it being tipped to one side, so in theory it would weight about half as much as the entire bulk of it, and no, no car to move it, just simply push / drag the bitch.

Well it all depends on the size of the tree you know. Some smaller trees can be moved by a few people, while others are just too damn heavy.

Would be quite entertaining to see a bunch of people tugging and pulling that thing trying to move it.

if that tree would of fell on a road, sure, it can be moved simply because nothing would block its path... but its a 50/50.

What pisses me off more is in movies when the people are driving and the guy/girl driving is staring at the passenger while talking to them for like 30 seconds straight. Then all of a sudden then hit something or crash and it's a huge surprise. Is it really that fucking hard to look forward at the round and talk?

Try moving a telephone pole in the road, it doesn't roll well and it weighs a hell of a lot less than most trees. It is also a hell of a lot more round. Most trees a single person, even with a car, would be unable to move.

What specific movie were you thinking of?

Depending on the tree and the car, it would still be a lot more difficult to move a tree than you would think. A pine tree a foot around you could prolly move enough to unblock the road easily, but something like an oak a foot around and you prolly arent moving it if you have a amsll car.

If you have like a 4x4 x350 diesel and proper chains/ropes you could prolly move a beast of a tree though.

Thing that pisses me off the most are the way movies use guns... Are they ever ready to fire? Nah, never. You have to wait until about a minute after you bring it out before you make the noise that says "hey I can shoot you now"

However, if you ever tell the person holding the gun that the safety is on, they seem to still look at the safety while holding the gun too close to the person they are going to shoot (thus providing an easy way to take it away).

Makes the movies more interesting, but it can be annoying after awhile.
