Here's a cool site to let you newbs think you know something about hacking: http://www.remote-ex...x.php/Main_Page

If you are running a laptop with the ipw2200bg driver (normally the one that comes with dell laptops), there isn't a version for linux that will let you inject packets.

Some vids of the software in use:
WPA Cracking
128 Bit Wep cracking
Bluesnarfing a Bluetooth enabled Mobile Phone
Decrypting SSL Traffic using Man In The Middle technique (MITM)
Cracking Syskey and the SAM on Windows Using Samdump2 and John

Easy way to "hack" on a notebook is to run a sniffer threw the connections. Your neighbors will probably not notice the little bog it creates but you can chuckle when recieve any users/passwords the've submitted. P.H.L.A.K also has alot of useful tools, like Airsnort and what not.

Ok if you haven't hacked wireless security by now, please remove yourself from the internet.

But it was pretty fun when I used to do it. Especially if they had drives mapped to the network.

Thought I'd throw out that if you do have a 2200bg and just sniff, and are in college, just sit in a large auditorium during classes. facebook uses (unless they fixed it recently) unencrypted passwords. Makes life rather easy as like 1% of people actually use different passwords for different things... :D
