Well I"ve been looking into watercooling my CPU because I'm planning on attempting to OC a little bit more but I deffinately don't want to take any chances. I've always been a Thermaltake fan and their watercooling units are quite highly reviewed. I just wanted to get some opinions before I reallythink about buying this, but I want to make a Bigwater SE type of variant. I'll buy each piece of this set expept for the radiator because I'll be buying the Aquabay M1, M2 and M3 which will take up a total of 4 bays on my PC. This is my PC, proud of my pathetic wireing job. It's all the fans, their wires are all over the place and I'm just too lazy to fix them. I plan on upgrading my PSU later on, not for a while, because it is really really iritating to see all the extra wires just sitting there not doing anything. I'll buy a PSU that has detacheable wires for the ones I don't need in there blocking the vue.

Here's my PC station (kinda small but just right):

This is the inside while running. Seriously I've got way too many fans in there and the wireing job is horrible but meh wtv...

Stuff planning on sticking in here.
The bigwater is just a plan on what Im doing. I wish I could jsut order the pump because Its all I really need.

EDITED LINKS BY SNIPRWULF (they work):
This is the Bigwater SE
This is the AquaBay M1
This is the Aquabay M2
This is the Aquabay M3

I would really like your opinion on this matter. I have done my research on Tigerdirect, Canada computers and all and all this set up will cost a little less then 200$ Without a pump. Which I haven't been able to find one I like yet

Thanks in advance guys.

www.frozencpu.com www.dangerden.com www.dtekcustoms.com

3 best websites for watercooling gear. I have a DD TDX block, but my system is a little older. Swiftech makes awesome blocks. Dtek's heatercores rule. DD or Swiftech make nice DC pumps. Exactly what parts are in that system? I see a P5W DH, so a core 2 duo? That thing should be safe to overclock like crazy right there. 3.2 shouldnt be out of your range with air.

And you suck at th3 linkage. And give me MY keyboard back, not nice.

Lol as you said I'm ok with my air at 3.2. Infact I'm jsut under it at 3.13 Lol :P But I've always wanted to do some serious sh*t with it which is why I wanted to possibly one day upgrade to some watercooling. Right now my mobo runs at about 30-32 degrees. and my cpu never goes over 28 :P I know I'm being picky but I want it to be cooler to stay stable for where I want to go with my CPU. Oh and I forgot my CPU has a FSB of 1340 right now. Which, I'm not sure is amazing but I'm proud of it Lol.

In my PC I've got

E6600 Core 2 DUO(right now it's overclocked to 3.13 GhZ)
a P5W DH mobo (like you saw)
2x 1024 Mbs OCZ platinum ram sticks (they run at a latency of 4-4-4-10 which is great)
the all important RADEON X1950 XTX from ATI
a 700 Watt PSU from Thermaltake. I believe its from the Thoughpower series.
a 320 Gb Barracuda from Seagate and a 150 Gbs Raptor from Western Digital
1 dvd-rom and 1 dvd-writer both at 18x

Yea I know the wireing is horrible but I just put it up so that it would work. After that I basicly jsut haven't given myself the time to fix it all up. Could you give me some ideas on how to fix it up? I know I could try to run some stuff behind the mobo plate but that would cause havoc as I think I would have to unplug alot of things....
The wiereing would look alot better if my PSU could have the feature of removing the unecessary cables. Unfortunately mine does not do that; so I've had to substitute and just shove them up at the top. There not in the way of any fan up there so it might not look pretty but it's not damaging any airflow.

Drizzle maybe you can tell me what you mean by my linkage is bad? I do not understand that cause everything is plugged in right Lol.

the links in your post dont work noobie cakes.

Chipset coolers are useless, get a nice swiftech apogee and mcw60 for your video card, a heatercore, and a nice mag5 pump and you are set.

swiftech 655 or dangerden d5 for a pump, or if you have cash, 355 /dcc+ and a top from petras for it. Mags are known to die early and unexpectedly :(

btw, also check out petras tech shop. Great service there (like to the point of them upgrading stuff for free and throwing in random free stuff sometimes)

DO NOT USE THERMALTAKE BIGWATER SE
hey, i have this setup now on my box
m1,m2,m3,big water SE and water temp thingy all put together
cooling my CPU which is very helpful for overclocking
setting up the system isnt bad, but filling it with liquid and getting all the air out, this is the worst system i have ever worked with in trying to do so
you have the set up a syphon (? spelling ?) system to get all the air out and it sucks so much since the liquid is posion basically
also, anytime you bring ur box anywhere that you have to move it like in a car
be prepared to get all the air out again
also, had a pump die on me allready and the flow indicator jammed up too
oh, and if you turn off your computer for a while (i did this when i went on vacation) the fluid kinda becomes crusty and hard which sux
anywho......
if you can deal with all that, the system actually cools very nicely and the aqua bays look really hot
ill attach a few pix so you can see how mine looks, but i would say its a lot of work, but it does work nicely

Sniper I would of wanted it to be internal and thanks for the insight sh3nk2k4. I think I might wait a while till I got waercooling because right now my pc still runs at 28 degrees at 3.13Ghz.

I appreciate all the help you guys gave me but Yea I think I'll wait a bit.

I'm assuming 28C is idle temp. What's your 100% load (run dual Prime95 or an instance of Orthos)?
I also vote against thermaltake watercooling. If you want an internal kit, get a swiftech or one from petra. Orders of magnitude cooler and more reliable

those are incredibly low for air cooling. Is that an OCZ Tempest? (Just curious, looks nice) What program are you using to check temps? I've had some that read my mobo temp instead of CPU temp so I thought I was very low for a while (on my Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe). I don't now if that's still around on the intels. :( Try Asus probe if you're not.

That aside you can probably get that CPU quite a bit higher even on air. :D

*edit* I guess it's possible since it's a core2. Just slightly unlikely. almost done with 4.5 hours of class in a row. no brain leftt.

I meant chipset watercoolers sniper, Chipset fans/heatsinks are necessary. My fan is starting to make odd noises at times, prob cuz of dust, luckily I have the stock one still, but I dont want to tear my pc apart.

Well to your response after 2 hours and 17 minutes it is now idoling at about 36. Some times it spikes to 40 for a bit and then drops again. Secondly yes it is an OCZ tempest, thanks for noticeing Lol. It dropped my CPU temp like 10 degrees almost from the stock cooler which is awesome. And thirdly I'm using the Asus booster program which came with the mobo installation. It shows a whole bunch of stuff and even gives me up to 30% automatic OC(which I have done)

Asus Booster shows

-volts for CPU, memory and GPU
-RPM of all 7 fans in my case (all monitered smartly to auto ajust speed for what I am doing)
-shows CPU's FSB
-shows CPU Mhz goes up and down between 3000 Mhz and 3025.40 Mhz
-shows CPU multipliers and Bus speed.
-lets me save Overclocking profiles
-Shows me the tempeture of the mobo, inside of the case and my CPU.

I guess instead of making a tornado in my case and cooling nothing my 7 fdans are cooling incredibly well accoring to you :P
