I need some sort of program where i can monitor whats going on in my home network, or though the router.
It would also be cool if i could block some things from accessing the internet too.

What router are you using? Some routers allow you to do what you want and you might not even know it.

if your worried about your wife cheating on you or something like that, just go get a keylogger and install it on your computer. the one i have will even e-mail you the log.


i have one on my comp and i used to activate it when i had parties. funny some of the sh*t you will read once you have ALL of your friends facebook, myspace, and email passowrds. rofl

No, i dont have a wife...

But there is something going on on the computer in the other room, and it rapes my bandwidth and i get pissed off because my ping jolts up to like 500, i suspect limewire or Bearshare since my step sister uses it and shes ...stupid.

Just need something to see what's going on, whats raping my internets and something to stop it (possibly)

That's pretty cool.... but it says you only get a 30 day trial.. i didnt see a freeware thing..

Anyway ColdBlood Google a pingtest. Check your pings while your sister is connected then pull her plug and test your pings. If it's from her computer then check it for malware.

She went upstairs to watch a movie, and i found out that she was in fact using Limewire. and it is in fact pissing me off.

I'm sure your like the other 654646546 people in a basic home life and you probably have a Linksys WRT54G Wireless router. Last time I used one there was an easy place to "block" programs. You can find the ports limewire uses under the firewall config tab under options. Manuel set it to something like, 6346, then when she asks why it doesn't work, you play dumb.

if you have a router with QOS, put her comp on bulk bandwidth and give yourself priority. When you're not gaming she can't complain, and when you are she gets shafted. Everybody wins!
