So wait, you guys are freaking out because a GTA IV Trailer is gonna be released in 27 days? Wow, just wow. This is an honest question, and I'm not trying to start sh*t, I want an honest discussion about it, but here it goes. Why do you guys still play the GTA games, they've been nothing but the same boring stupid stuff since Vice City. The last good GTA was 3 because it was somewhat original and it was new, yet Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories, and Vice City stories are all the same as GATS 3 but with different locations and characters. About the only new thing added was character customization in SA. So why do you guys still play the games, what is it about them that you find fun? Keep in mind I have played GTA3, VC, SA, and LCS, so I'm not just basing my opinion off of speculation, and again, I'm not flaming, I'm asking an honest question.

Not my favorite games in the world, but i have gotten a lot of enjoyment outta them. TBH, III was def my favorite GTA because of what it delivered when it was released. In its time, it was much better than the other GTAs were in their times. You might also consider the fact that they did not label VC and SA as sequels in the series because they weren't especially progressed from III. Hopefully IV actually is progressed enough to be labeled a true sequel.

edit: I mean real games, not the PSP/PSP to PS2 port releases

Sticks i couldent agree with you more! Each game after 3 has added a few vehicles and characters here and there with new location. But at the end of the day your doing the same god damn sh*t over and over. i really enjoyed part 3 becasue for its time it was really a ground breaking game. For me after that each one got less and less exciting, just likes its clone Saints Row. Death to the GTA series unless 4 brings something new to the table....

When i got GTA 3 i thought it was badass...and then I got vice city not expecting TOO much more from it, and i enjoyed it....but the one thing i couldnt stand is the horrible animations...the graphics made me cringe. they hurt so bad. just my $.02 NEver played the ones after them.

Why does a game have to be groundbreaking to be enjoyable? The only game VC and SA were actually ripping off were other GTA games. Any game in the EA sports series, fighting games such as Tekken, and those crappy thousand characters on screen games such as Dynasty Warriors are definitely much less creative over time than the GTA franchise has become.

San Andreas was by far better than 3. Graphics were better, the world was much bigger and diversified, the story was better, the load times were almost non existent, and on top of that they added all the things you say make the game repetitive such as new cars and models. The play time in SA was huge, much bigger than the other games and there was simply a lot more to do.

Personally I just don't give a f*ck if a game is "groundbreaking" or "revolutionary", if its enjoyabe to play, I play it.

Well, what I think they mean is that they've gotten bored with the other ones, so unless this has something new, it won't be as fun.

Cause GTA3, VC, and SA were alot alike. So if there isn't much of a difference between those and GTA4, I will (and probably more) will skip out.
