Akon, The Beatles.

Blackhole has been created here

Honestly I like like all music from the 60s disco to the current rapingz(rapeings is spelled like this....right?)
Just not emo or music where u cant understand the lyrics because of heavy slurring(black folk) or your ears are bleeding from the screaming(heavy metel).

I have a really wide range in tastes for music. I like just about everything except for:

- most country (whatever country had to offer, Nashville took it away)
- repetitive, recycled, lyrically retarded hip hop (accounts for about 95% of what you will ever hear on the radio)
- almost all of today's pop music (manufactured, formulaic, unoriginal garbage)
- the type of metal songs where they sing the entire song like a bear in heat
- artists and bands that don't write 80% or more of their own music
- almost all techno

Say what you want about growling, but know that you are missing out on the best music in the world :perk:
(Some of it is pretty bad though, I will agree. Specifically, almost anything made in the US).

Roughly equivalent to not liking food because it's "spicy"...

I like spicy food, but not when you make it so spicy that I can't even tell what the food is beneath the spices. Use jalapenos sparingly to add character to the food, otherwise it's just a gimmick.

I agree, and that's still a good analogy. US growling bands = try too hard (put too many jalapenos in there!). :weee:

Well, Silent Bob. It's hard to start off from nowhere, but I can give you a couple youtube links with growling bands that are pretty accessible and where you can hear the lyrics.

Scar Symmetry (Sweden)
Gorefest (Netherlands) admittedly I listen to them mostly for the guitars <3
Dimmu Borgir (Norway)
Satyricon (Norway)

If that is too much growling for ya I don't know if there's anything else I can do for you :P

Thanks for the links, dude. Yeah, the growling didn't do it for me, but some of the guitar parts were pretty sick, especially Gorefest.
