Whether this is all speculation or not.... ATI hasn't answered NVidia's 8800 GTX for six months.... ATI better come up with something to restore their credibility, and it better be good, cause NVidia might just one up itself before ATI releases R600.

yeah i hate to say it but my next card is going to be invidia, especially with all the goddamn driver problems i have had with EVERY card i have ever bought from ATI. Im sure going to miss all of those crashes with the .dvg error

Yeah, its rumorville crap .... but still its decent info, hopefully the benchmarks they were using is sh*t... just like the ole 9700 vs 4200ti ... 4200ti owned the 9700 in most benchmarks... and now the 9700 can still play most games with decent rates/res... while the 4200ti is a POS

the reason performance is so drag - the cards being released now are GDDR3...

which is why i'm waiting for the r670's, they been working on the ES chips for a while and drakma had one, besides these cards they are releasing are ONLY like 512mb onboard video mem, compared to the new ones using 1G which are the true bleeding highend's

Lol, why does it matter dude? Its a video card. ATI is all good and NVIDIA is all good.. both are just companies making video cards, why does it matter who uses what type of card. My preference is NVIDIA, and you cant argue that the 8800 is not the best card on the market right now and that it doesn't rock. But getting pissed off at someone because of their video card company preference?
