Yes, I've barely been around. For all of you new guys, I'm an admin, used2 be mad addicted to CS but now don't get much playtime. Anyways..

So on and off, for about the past month or so, my PSU antec tru-power 500watt power supply has been slowly dieing. I just finished installing my brand new Corsair CMPSU-620HX 620w PSU.

I chose this from all of the positive feedback it got as well as the rails listed are extremely stable:
+3.3@24A,+5V@30A,+12V1@18A,+12V2@18A,+12V3@18A,- [email protected],+5VSB@3A

My previoius PSU was not a bad investment at all. I spent roughly around 70 bucks for it and lasted nearly 2 years with all of the sh*t I have hooked up to it:
- 5 internal harddrives
- 3 case fans
- 1 hard drive cooling fan
- 1 EVGA-7800gt power hungry beast
- 1 Zallman cooling fan for the video card
- 1 thermaltake northbridge cooling fan
- 6 or so usb peripherals hooked up

With all of that sh*t going on, my rails were completely unstable as seen by a digital multimeter that was laying around the house. This caused my computer to randomly shutoff at any notice. It would stay off for about an hour before you could use it again, then would be good for a couple days. After that, it would work sometimes hours and shut off during any high cpu usage/demanding video power. I took some pics showing the transisition from old to new and will get them up soon.

Good to see alot of you guys are still around.

I have that same one and i <3 it. I got it to replace my 600w enermax that blew up on me(probably because i overclocked it too much). Its quiet, stable and powerful. The modular cables are awesome too. They arent all that expensive either.

EDIT: I think Raccoon has one too

Now how exactly did you overclock your powersupply?? Did you plug it into your 220v socket or something??
