Yeah so I finally got a Wii after many months of waiting, and looking. Now I have the problem of having to get some games. I've read the reviews and seen some trailers but nothing is like talking to someone who's bought it and played it for a month or so.


Now I know I want to get Mario Party and Red Steel, but other than that I need some feedback from you's guy's. What have you played thats good and isn't made for a retard six year old.

I highly recommend Zelda, even if you never got into the other Zelda games its a must have. And don't forget that you can play Game Cube games on the Wii, so if you haven't all ready get Super Smash Brothers.

red steel = meh
zelda + super paper mario = amazing
wii sports/wii play is fun with friends.

I cant wait fo smash brothers and mario cart.

Mario Party is a lot of fun, but in my opinion Red Steel was a terrible game. The Wii's top 3 games right now, I think, are Zelda, Paper Mario, and Resident Evil 4 (which is only $30 btw). Metroid, Manhunt 2, Guitar Hero 3, Super Smash Bros., and Mario are also all on the way so watch out for those.

yea as mentioned zelda... need for speed carbon is fun but short... mario party... wait for smash bros... POKEMON... jk about te last one

Eh, Need for Speed was okay, but definitely look into some of the other games we listed before that one. It's an okay game, but its short and feels kinda gimmicky, I think. Maybe rent it or something. And as far as shooters right now, the Wii doesn't have any good ones except for RE4, which isn't a true shooter. Red Steel is terrible, Far Cry is even worse, Call of Duty isn't all that bad, and I haven't played any of the others yet. Maybe Medal of Honor is decent, but I don't know. Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles is on the way though, and that looks like a pretty good rail shooter. Wii Play might be something to look into, haven't played it yet myself, and if you like to get friends together and f*ck around, Mario Party, Wario Ware, and Rayman are all good options. Rayman is f*cking hilarious, but it gets old rather quickly. Oh, another good game actually just came to mind. Trauma Center is a lot of fun, and gets really hard later. It's a port of the DS game, but it's really fun, I think.

ya red steel is a cool idea but ended up pretty ehhh

paper mario is ok but is real short

wii sports is free but fun to play with friend(drunk)

wii play is nice because its a good set of games plus you get the controller with it(def buy if you plan on having drunk wii parties)

zelda is ok, however i don't really like it

mario strikers is awesome i just got it, plus it has online play

rayman is a good party game too

Resident Evil is cool if you haven't played it before.

So far most of the "good" games are the multiplayer ones, and Super Smash bros will just be added to the list when it comes out.

I bought red steel for 60, big mistake.
Zelda has an amazing story and is really fun. you wont be bored with that.
Mario Party 8 is good to play with friends, especially when drunk. I laughed histerically where one of the games controls with the wiimote is imitating whacking off.
I have yet to purchase paper mario, and super smash brawl and MP.

BTW I have played the RE series, not the Wii one though, what is it like? also anybody know the release date of brawl.

well I rented redsteel and wasted $7 bucks ( you guys were right it sucked balls) , Think I need to go down to gamestop and trade in my old ps2 games for some good sh*t this weekend ( ie. mario party, and zelda) . Thanks for the reviews guys.

RE4 on Wii is really good! Better than on Gamecube, even. The controls are really accurate and it has the extras from the PS2 version included as well.
