30 Days of Night.

Vampires go after some Eskimo pie.

I am Legend.

Man is now a legend among Vampires. Sucks it's a newage adaptation of the book... and it has Will Smith as Robert Neville... :\

30 days of night looks f*cking badass.

I am Legend looks pretty good. Will smith isn't that bad. He can act when he has to.

The character Will Smith is playing doesn't match up to anything he's ever done. Robert Neville had an extremely dark and sardonic sense of humor, something I personally don't see Will Smith portraying. It's the kind of role I'd imagine Johnny Depp or Edward Norton playing.

hes a pretty good actor, itll be interesting to see if he pulls it off. Norton would had been the best though.

I guess I'm saying his only real non-comedic role was in "Ali," which better be the type of acting brought here.

Mr. Smith isn't my only worry as well, I should say. The book was originally written in the late '50s, depicting a future post-plague Chicago suburb in the '70s. The movie is set nearly 3 years in the future and apparently in the middle of New York City...

I just don't see much of the book coinciding with the movie at the moment with the complete settings and character profile change. (Chicago at the time was an industry laden blue collar mecca, and that's what made the main character's transition through out the story that much more incredible.)

I can't wait to see it, but I'm afraid I'm just going to tear the whole thing apart.
