Considering I've been living in this state all my life, the level of stupidity really shouldn’t surprise me anymore…but it has. The problem with South Carolina isn’t the extremely low SAT scores; the problem is that the state DMV seems to only hire everyone that scored under 500 on it. The State Troopers (Staties for you northern folk) apparently in an effort to be as accepting as the DMV now only hires individuals with low self esteem and/or abnormally small dicks who feel the need to overcompensate for their shortcomings with a gun and badge.

A deputy sheriff friend of mine told me a year or so ago that the state troopers are now seizing license plates off of vehicles that are uninsured. At the time it sounded like a good thing and I told him at least it would get half the Mexicans off the roads around here.

Yesterday I get woken up by a call from a neighbor saying a trooper just pulled a snatch and run with my f*cking license plate. I walk out to my truck to find this:

Apparently traffic offenses have gotten so low in this state that they made a division that just goes around and jack’s license plates. So now State Troopers are the equivalent to a halfass repoman with a gun and a badge who don’t posses the common f*cking courtesy to knock on the door and say “Hey, can you provide proof of insurance?”

Seeing as I’ve never had a late payment on anything in my life, much less a lapse in insurance, I was pretty f*cking irate. This morning I go to the DMV with my Geico policy and poi card in hand only to be told “Sorry, we can’t accept that. You have to call your insurance company and have them fax us your information”. I call Geico (who’s customer service kicks ass) and the lady is nice and very effective. I got back inside and the b*tch behind the counter finally walks her fat ass over to the fax machine 15 minutes after my paperwork came off then takes another 15 minutes to stare blankly at it. Finally she gives me a new plate and registration and says “sorry about the trouble, have a good day ” to which I reply “sorry state jobs do not require an IQ test, have a good day”.

Don’t get me wrong, this state does have it’s good points. For instance, going down to Isle of Palms and having a few beers then kicking the sh*t out of some loud mouth tourist from NY. That's always good for a laugh.

I’m joking, I really love New Yorker’s....as long as they're female and hot.

yeah, no sh*t.

I'm working on new state motto's to replace "smiling faces, beautiful places" (and yes, i stole some ideas from the board)

"Smiling Faces, low IQ's"
"Smiling Faces, U.S. America South Africa THE IRAQ and everywhere like such as"
"Smiling Fac...pssst f*ck South Carolina, Florida is better and the coke's cheaper"
"Smiling Faces, but unlike Miss Teen South Carolina, we have plenty of stupid ugly motherf*ckers here too"
"Smiling Faces, but don't believe everything you see in a beauty pageant...not all women here believe swallowing will make their tits bigger"

Yeah man, I always get sh*tty service at the DMV. A friend of mine said it's probably because I look like the type of person that would curbstomp them...

*Edit*
Just a little FYI, if a finance company is trying to repo your vehicle all you really need to do it make sure you cover the VIN number on the dash. Beleive me, the only way a couple of my guys make it to work is because their VIN is never visible.

New Hampshire doesn't require auto insurance <3. Even though weather sucks and there's not much to see (apart from being close to Maine, their women are hotter: it are fact), but at least laws aren't that bad and the motto is kick ass.

actually thats not entirely true...at least in NY. It's called substitution of colatteral. If you default on one of your loans which uses your property(such as your car) as colatteral, most institutions reserve the right to seize a different vehicle owned by you. Seems stupid only cuz it takes awhile to figure out what vehicle is yours, but where I work, our loan record room has direct access to DMV information so we can track the vehicles "we own". So getting that information is'nt really taht hard.
imo, it's stupid...but i've had some low lives who havnt payed ONE of their THREE car loans with us, and wondering why we took their BMW 7 Series, instead of their Kia Spectra lol.

Actuaklly, whats even better is when A mother who is joint on say her son's car loan, comes in because we repo'd her car even tho she made her payments. But her son ran away to like California and never payed his loan ever lol. BUT thats the world we live in.

Hell I drove to work that night, home the next morning, and then to the DMV. I had proof of insurance so if they would have tried to ticket me or worse for driving without a tag due to them seizing my tag based on their incorrect information hmmm, I dunno, but my familys attorney probably could have had fun with that situation.

hehe thats why repo men wait until 3am before they jack yo sh*t...hehe

anyway some companies here in mass will first come to your address and tell you they are there to take your vehicle or boat..
if your not home they will leave you a number to get in contact with them(unless your in default from completely skipping payments and never calling the finance company), in the case of said example the repo company will just sneak to your house about 3 am or so and ninja your car or boat...and 9 times out of ten they will have a county sheriff with them to make sure no one gets shot.

crazy crazy sh*t...I live in a sh*tty neighborhood and I see vehicles being loaded up on flat beds all the time.
