two comments though...
Vista is a real resource hog, even after you trim it down. Thank god I have 2GB DDR2 in there or I'd be screwed.
and this is where I need help:
Damn Nvidia don't have any updated drivers for their GeForce 8600M GS card. As of right now it's just plain bad, and I really need some driverz.....
It's funny that Nvidia are bragging about BioShock when the game won't even launch without forceware updates. And there is no forceware update for my card.
Does anyone know how I am going to adress this problem, or do I just have to wait forever until Nvidia get off their asses and start supporting their GeForce 8 mobile series?
I'm using Vista 32bit if it's any help.
Failed forceware's: 162.22, 163.67...

There is a TON of information on that site. Almost too much. They have a bunch of modded drivers and INF files that you can download that will support your card. Look around in the forums for some info

I know that site well by now, I've looked through it but have been unable to find any drivers that support my specific card. But they do have drivers for other cards that NVidia don't support, I will give them that.
And the drivers I got off the HP website were only a minor bugfix. But it's something.
Maybe my drivers are fine and I'm just expecting too much out of my comp. Afterall I am complaining about Oblivion lagging at 1490x900 res, high textures, max draw distance and HDR

roflz I just realized that dual core isn't enabled by default in Oblivion... you gotta add the line in the .ini file yourself. My framerate instantly doubled and the stuttering is almost completely gone.
Cookie for Bethesda Studios. :P
