First off
...................YOOOOOOO! :1:
Ok got that off my system hehe.

My current video card is a geforce 6800 pci etc and looking for a good video card upgrade for what my computer can handle. I don't know all the factors to consider only thing I know is my Max wattage is 375. I'm told that the 7 series is a good way to go since the newer cards in the 8 series that run on DX 10 and I would have to revamp my whole motherboard, chip ,etc to use them. Any help suggestions is appreciated. I Pre-Thank you guys.

Well what is your current processor type and speed? I hear too much from kiddies who know jack diddly of what they are talking about in these matters. "Oh well your computer isnt fast enough for that" and we can make the determination of if it's good enough or not.

For your power supply, wattage isnt enough, a power supply with good power rails and rated at 350 watts will absolutely destroy a sh*tty 20$ "Rated" 450 watt power supply any day of the week.

Pretty much same q's as above. Also # of hard drives and cd/dvd drives/burners (I've seen comps that when they have the drives spin up (like at boot) power drops too much to be usable. :D Was pretty funny if you ask me.)

Also 2nd the brand of power supply brand is about as important as wattage. In addition to usually using much more conservative ratings (crap brands will do ratings at awful temperatures where the rails are not putting out clean power) the better brands have overall cleaner power and thus higher stability. (they also fail more gracefully on average)

Also is it a 6800 or a 6800gt/ultra? I know the GT/Ultra took a decent amount of power, themselves. 7900s are about the same IIRC. 7800's were a little more
