i "purchased" windows xp pro from a "store". unrawrd it and burned the iso to a cd. put the cd in went through all the steps and after restart when it is supposed to be finishing up instaliation i get a CRC fatal error.
error: Installation Failed: E:\1386\asms. Error Message: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
wtf. I thought that it could have burned wrong so i reburned the iso. same problem. thought it could be nuked so i "purchased" xp pro student edition. went through the same steps and the same fucking thing happened.
I doubt seriously that both were nuked, so is there something i am doing wrong. I have never had this problem before. halp?

I would ask for a "refund" from the "store" because the "disc" seems to be "defective"

Make sure the install is fresh, and not just writing over old files.

Billy, i thought you said you had an msdn subscription through college? you get 2 xp pros and 2 vista businesses from that, you don't need to "buy" anything..
