Well either way you either look at the RAM slots and count 'em, look up the motherboard online, or look in the manual for the motherboard.

There will NOT be 3 slots. You're most likely looking at PCI slots.


Try again. All mobo's will allow for either 2 or 4 slots.

Nope, some come with 3... I have an old AMD 754 mobo that has 3 ram slots..

I didn't realize we're working with hardware back from the P3 days...



It's been many many years since I have seen a 3 slotter. Like I said, NO new mobo's are coming in 3. Especially when it's recommended with the new RAM to install in pairs (again).

You could also use CPU-Z link That will tell you your processor, speed, socket, RAM size and speed, motherboard and bios information and alot of other crap too. Post screenshots of all of the tabs and we can figure out whats what.
