I found out that my graphics card was one of the few that wasnt too friendly with pcmark06 and why it scored so low. For some reason certain 2.0 shader cards score way way way lower than they should have. I ran pcmark05 and hit a score of like 15000 which was alot better but not as demanding as 06. Still ive had alot of problems with this x850 xt and even sent it back to the factory under warranty and It got refurbished. Still had issues when i got it back. IM never buying ati again. I cant wait to see what this 8800 can do with my E6700 cpu.

Wow, your basing your opinion of ATi on an ancient POS card like an 850? Wow you fail.

Not to mention you test an 850 on 3D MARK 06' EVEN MORE FAIL!

lol i know my x850 is ancient.... poor card....

I have had nothing but crap problems with it... mabey one day I will try out another ati card but for now no way... The one good thing I discovered though is that the newer ati cards like the 2600 and 2900 use alot less power than the 8800's do..... i think so... :P this x850 has killed it for me when it comes to ati. I despise ati right now....


Oooo I just might use my x850 for some target practice!!! on second thought... no... I think I paid like $350 for it when I got it 3 years ago.

Man this 8800 is amazing. The difference from pixel shader 2.0 to 3.0 is amazing! I get an average of 220 fps now on maxed settings. I know CS: Source isnt too demanding anymore but im very happy. Games like oblivion and Call of duty 4 ROCK!!!!!!!!! Its a total difference from that old X850 to this 8800. The only thing is that my motherboard is holding my cpu and 8800 back by like 20%. I gota get some kind of 680i mobo or something to fix that I suppose. What would u guys recommend for a mobo?

You just compared a 850 to a fucking 8800, thats like comparing a p3 to an athlon 3000+, Epicfail.
