Hey guys my friend has been running off a P4 1.8Ghz for a long time and he really needed an upgrade cause he wanted to start playing games like command and conquer and world in conflict but his pc just can't handle it (he has on board graphics)

His dad would never let him upgrade with his dad's cash because all his dad does with the pc is let him do his homework on it so it was adequate.
I went shopping online (tigerdirect) and found this series of things for a completely new pc. He MIGHT be going SLI one day with his own money upgrades so I got a bigger power supply then really needed.

His budget was 2000$

I think it looks good except for buying it from Tiger instead of Newegg. He should spend another 10-20 bucks and at least get a 500gb HD.

...and damn coolermaster for coming out with that case a month after I got my Stacker.

yea Tigerdirect has the 8800gt overpriced by like 100. Get your stuff from newegg.com, also check out clubit.com, mwave.com, zipzoonfly.com, and ewiz.com. All of which I've bought from and are stand up places.

Well seeing as how he linked to the canadian tigerdirect website, newegg is not a choice in this instance since he most likely lives in canada. If he is pricing for a friend in the states, newegg will give better pricing than tigerdirect unless you have a business account with tiger.

ok well a 500 gig isn't ever going to be needed because he doesn't have nearly enough stuff to fill it with yet (only twenty games, limited music and no porn files). And yeah it was Tigerdirect canada because we BOTH live in Canada so Newegg isn't an option. I haven't known anyone personnaly that has shopped at the sites wondergod gave me so I don't know to trust them really. Yeah I guess your right the Gt is a little overpriced.

my advice is to go to Canada Computers, IMO it is way better than Tiger Direct. They have multiple locations all around Toronto and other cities around canada.
