Threw the bitch in yesterday and I have to say Its a beast. Went from 8975 (1800xt) in 3D Mark '05 to 13360, framerate increase in TFII is huge. Haven't really tested out anything else just yet.
I was kicking around the idea of putting together a completely new rig, but I'm glad I didnt. This new card will buy me some time.
Its my first nvidia card and, although I'm still partial to AMD/ATI this card rocks.
Considering a DDRIII C2D @ 3 ghz rig with the same overclocked G92 gets 17,xxx in 3D Mark 05, I think I'm doing pretty good with the old Socket 939.
If anything, I think I win at Socket 939 in the BoSS community.
ANyone else grab one of these recently? If so, post up your 3D Mark Scores!

Im getting about 10k right on with stock settings no overclocking. I have an XFX 8800 GTS and I love it! Bad ass card... Next upgrade will be another xfx 8800 gts and a new case mainly cause those 8800's are hot little bastards. Only using a mid atx case right now. Im running a E6700 C2D and 2 gb of ocz sli ram, Ive got the 680i mobo specialized for the C2D but I have never over clocked before. Basically my pc is designed for it, its just Im afraid to do it becuase of my lack of knowledge and possible cooling issues. im sure I could get close to 20k but Id perfer my pc to run for years instead of OOPS... fried pc... Hopefully if they release service pack 3 It will increase performance. I believe that our software is lacking far behind our technology... damn windows... :P
