Thought this was pretty cool.

The closest thing I had seen to this was some game console hacks but, this one could really be a bug up AT&T's ass. I know it's not the newest vid around but some might find it interesting.

Basically, he's taken away AT&T's exclusivity with the iPhone.
He's using it with T-mobile as his carrier.
He basically had to crack the thing open and hack it so it would be able choose the service provider he liked.

Btw.. I know this isn't a brand new video but when this story hit it was really swept under the rug and I stumbled upon it again thinking, "people should see this".

Not a huge deal really. It just shows there are smarter asians out there than the ones that developed the damn thing.

but would u still be able to view webpages and stuff like that? would those things be supported by say verizon or tmobile?

when you hack it you can do anything your normally would on that carrier. An easy way to do this is use ziphone. I used the mac client on my phone to 'jailbreak' it and it worked fine.
