you guys kno any sites where i can get ram for cheap i want to add 512 mb but ive never done it before so i dont kno what a good price is for ram. also how do i figure out if i have 1 512 mb or 2 256's and how do i find out how many slots i have.

Open up your computer case...also you could go into the BIOS and see how many bits your RAM is running at. Make sure you know what type you're using.
As for cheap RAM, check:

If quality isn't of any concern but just want a 512 stick for as cheap as possible, check out: www.fatwallet.com, forums, hot deals... people post some really good deals.
