After playing a good portion of them one of the more consistent problems I have seen is an overuse of horde spawn in certain locations. In the Hang'Em High map they would spawn 4 hordes at once and it will hella-lag. Another odd problem is when you begin or load there would be a horde already there like in the Resident Evil map or there would just be a few in the spawn zone like in Dead Aboard

Opinion Based (we played them all on expert)

Most Complete Map: Dead Aboard (in the fist map when you load you have to activate sv_cheats and use the warp_all_suvivors_here command to enter the spawn area. It is right above you.)
Hardest Map: 119 Crossfire (holy f*cking sh*t, there is no where to hide)
Worst Map: Halls (DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS MAP, IT will glitch everytime)
Best Design: Nova (Was more realistic then Dead Aboard for a prison)
Best Map: Hang'Em High (Nothing like 4 hordes running at you and there is no where to hide.)

In order to run the Maps follow these directions

-Download
-Save nav and bsp files to map folder in l4d
-Run game
-Start a lobby and make it local host
-Pick 1 of the 4 campaigns it doesn't matter
-When you load in open the console
-Type "change level [Map Name]

In a few of the maps you will have to activate sv_cheats 1 and use the warp_all_suvivors_here command to warp to a place in the map to play on (1st level of Dead Aboard is one of them). Also for maps like Resident Evil sometimes you will have to run the changelevel command a few times to get it to work. Sometimes you just spawn by yourself and get raped right off the bat.
