For Nvidia, SLI is about prestige, and it's about being a technology leader, showing themselves at the front of the market. I do believe that the introduction of ATI MVP will dent that significantly, regardless of the eventual raw performance. Nvidia SLI, as a grandchild of 3DFX, has a certain affection in the hearts of most enthusiasts. Something tells me that, in a kind of intangible way, MVP will cheapen that.

It'll be like discovering that your childhood sweetheart, who you've been seeing for years, is actually just one of a number of people who will perform outrageous stunts in bed for you. When it's available elsewhere, regardless of the ins and outs, the fondness will dissolve.

Very true!.....Kind of like getting married. f*ck for 2 years.....then get laid twice a year. Don't get married!

its practicly a diss towards nvidia's SLI technology..... dont take it so personally =P
