So I've been hearing very good sh*t about this game from people who have been playing the Beta. I normally hate MMOs and Pay To Play but I'm tempted... though hopefully it'll get popular enough to have private servers I can get on for free. They really need to create more Guild Wars-esque MMOs (buy the game, no pay to play bullsh*t).

Anyone thinking of getting it?

the supposedly open beta is only open to those who pre-order it....that sounds like a pay to play beta to me, not so open.....
looks pretty boring also. I wont be trying it anytime soon.

Nah, Fileplanet had some open keys, I got one and tried it out a bit.

Friend has the beta of it since he is a fileplanet subscriber. Had a few minutes to play myself and it's utter garbage. Horribly buggy, servers went down several times a day, and the game itself just wasn't enjoyable.

I guess I have been spoiled by EVE, but I try to be as open as possible about these things but I have to say pass on this game.

Yep, that's the only MMO i might consider playing... still probably not though. Paying monthly to play a game = fail, but we'll see

I personally hate Star Wars lol. Overrated piece of ass.

As for the servers having problems or buggy, it's a f*cking beta.. don't b*tch, report it and let them know so they fix it for release. As for the game itself being bad, I dunno. But, I've heard good things and it seems promising in theory.

Yea, can't wait for that sh*t, since SWG died I have been pissed. All I have heard about Star Trek is that it's like a sh*tty EvE. I'll pay $15 bucks a month for a good game, rather than a copy paste sh*tty version of it.

The only thing it has in common with EVE is that they both have spaceships. I only played it for an hour or so, but it just seems to be a standard MMO, nothing special. I like the fact that you have officers and that you can go on ground/boarding missions, but its laggy as hell. Space combat is pretty cool in that you have to position yourself correctly, so that your downed shields aren't facing the enemy, and so that all your weapons can fire. So its ok, but its laggy as hell and buggy as well (lol rhyme).
